Well, well, he certainlly hadn't expected this at all, as he watched her pull the flask out. His eyes scanned the room, she had been very right, it wasn't very lively in here. But then again, neither was his dorm, though it was only half his. He liked to think that his half of the dorm was more interesting, though it probably was not.
Leaning back against the wall, he looked to her with a raised eyebrow. "Nah, get me good and liquored up my dear. Might be sort of interesting to see where the day might lead." Making his way over to the drawer she had pointed to, he started to rummage around until he found them.

"Nah, get me good and liquored up my dear. Might be sort of interesting to see where the day might lead." "That's what I like to hear," Gretchen said with a grin. Turning back to face the closet, she ran her fingers past a few shirts.
Vintage band t-shirt? No. Lace? No. Kitson? No.
It was a struggle she faced every day, and while it seemed to be juvenile to most..and it probably was..it was a legit concern. Appearance was everything these days wasn't it?
Finally stopping on a pink tank with white polka dots, Gretchen pulled the hanger out and gave it a good scan. "Hey, pour me some," she said, as she continued to glance at it. Throwing the shirt behind her and onto her bed, she continued to go through her wardrobe, this time quickly pulling out a pair of generously ripped jeans.
"So what brought you to Laurel? Anything good?" Gretchen asked with a smirk, her back to him as she peeled her shirt off.

Turning his attention to the glasses before him, he poured a drink for both of them, then turned his attention back to her as he heard her question. "I dunno, I guess I used to be smart..back when I applied myself and all that..." His sentence trailed off as he noticed her peeling her shirt off. He swallowed hard. Even though she was facing away from him, he couldn't help but grin. "What about you?"
Downing the contents of the glass he had poured for himself, he poured another, deciding to wait for her to join him before starting that one. This might be an interesting afternoon after all. Dylan knew that skipping out on class was probably the best plan he had all day long.

The hesitation in his voice was poorly disguised. Gretchen couldn't help but note that fact as she slyly smirked. "I guess you could say I came here to 'further my education," her tone was less than thrilled, more cynical if anything. "More like I came here because my parents wanted to get rid of me instead of argue over who would be responsible for me. I mean, my siblings are fine..they'll go along with anything. But me? I guess they know I won't go down without a fight."
Clearing her throat with the change of topics, Gretchen unzipped her skirt, pulling it down past her hips until it fell to her ankles. Stepping over the tossed article, she sat herself on the edge of her bed and began to pull her pants on. Half-dressed she rose, zipping and buttoning her jeans as she casually made her way toward Dylan.
"So, what did you mean earlier when you said you used to be smart? You can't just lose intelligence, you know?" Though she still held her usual haughty tone, as she leaned against the wall she was surprisingly gentle with her question. She was actuallly curious. One of the rare occurrences of that curiosity, actually.

Running a hand over his slightly messy hair, Dylan gave a little shrug. "Well, I suppose I am still smart, I dunno, i just like learning about things that I want to learn about..well, really I dont know." Turning his blue eyes to hers, he locked them for a moment, not sure what to say to her at the moment.
"I guess really, I am hear, to get the hell away from home. Any place is better than here." He cut himself off, not wanting to dump his life story on some girl, atleast this early in things. Besides, they were supposed to be having a good time, right? Picking up her glass, he offered it to her, reaching for his own.
